the interiors and classic Expansion Pack style additions are very good, but compared to the others it feels like being in a fugue state. stalker's infinite larper apocalypse softened into mannered emptiness, where even the bandits and freaks seem resigned to listless apathy and the layout has that self-conscious sense of space and distance that only comes about when someone had Point of Interest Optimization on the brain. if it was all apartments and the types of dungeons fromsoft can't remember how to make anymore I think I'd like it more, but as it stands it's a bit of a chasm. buncha bow wows, pulled punch neutrals, setpiece anomalies, and a protagonist & objective I couldn't possibly care less about. bro, no one wants to play as the narc ass major, they wanna play someone with a name like razor, a shady past, and a distrust of the government.
