NEVERWINTER NIGHTS 2
the ever-balmy aurora/electron engine and fantastic d&d3.5 ruleset do what they can to elevate this, but even at its best it's the same kinda rubbery, lightly seasoned fare as kotor or dragon age: quirked up companions, zero encounter design, ikea dungeons.. you know the drill. certainly not the boldest way to follow up an entire platform for online roleplaying, but perhaps a small victory for anyone who went into the stock NWN1 campaign expecting a crpg only to instead find the stock NWN1 campaign
it's kind of cute seeing obsidian do their best bioware impression, but while the craft is exceptional, the result is unfortunate (someone's best bioware impression). its approximation of the depressive mmo flowstate might be of some interest if you want to relive the summer you spent smoking resin and grinding apexis crystals after your grandma died.. but other than that, probably not worth your time
