OTOGIRISOU
breezy j-horror with enough creaking wheelchairs, crackling flames, groaning foundations, intrigue, and charm to carry it thru to the finish line. nothing groundbreaking about the narrative itself, but as an experiment in nascent form intended to be simple enough to be enjoyed by people who hadn't played videogames before it's hard to find fault in that. any adolescence here in scenario or genre constitution gives a dumb teenage levity to something otherwise concerned with fratricides, weeping apparitions, and generational curses travelling overseas brick by brick. sometimes you deal with the spectre of trauma as Literal Spectre and sometimes you're chased by a goofy rattlesnake. sums up life pretty good if you ask me
